Maple flooring salvaged from the dance studio and squash courts of Bo'ness Recreation Centre in Central Scotland. The dance studio boards have a brownish colour tone and the squash court boards have a lighter colour tone with red markings on the face. Maple is an extremely hard-wearing timber and works well in both domestic and commercial properties. This particular batch is "variation grade", meaning there is a noticeable contrast from board to board in terms of colour tone and grain pattern. The images show the flooring in its salvaged condition and after sanding with a clear lacquer finish.
