Pitch Pine Flooring

Ref. - 1856
Original Pitch Pine floorboards salvaged from Craig House, a historic house and estate in Edinburgh. Craig House served as a psychiatric hospital from the 1880's until 1994 when it was purchased by Edinburgh Napier University. It was then used as a campus for social science, communications arts and music courses until 2013. Pitch Pine has a warm, reddish brown colour tone and is significantly more durable than traditional Pine, making it more suitable for commercial areas as well as residential. Please note that the underside groove of these boards has broken off, however they can still be laid by gluing down. The images show the boards in their salvaged condition.
